What is interesting with the 7 - number SEVEN?


I wasnt curious until I land on this (E8) page... So I thought of updating this blog post with whatever coincide with number 7 - date wise.

1. There are 7 Colors in a Rainbow (VIBGYOR)
2. There are 7 Swaras in Carnatic Music (Shadjam (Sa), Rishabam (Ri), Gandharam (Ga), Madhyamam (Ma), Panchamam (Pa), Dhaivatham (Da) and Nishadam (Ni))
3. There are 7 Chords in Western music and instruments. (A, B, C, D, E, F, G) 
4. There are 7 Days in a week.
5. There are 7 Continents in the world.
6. We identify 7 Wonders in world.
7. There are 7 Chakras according to Vedas (in simple terms Yoga). (Sahasrara, Ajna, Vishudda, Anahata, Manipura, Swathisthana, and Muladhara)
8. There are 7 main Hindu Gods to worship, others are different versions/avatars/formations of them... (Lord Vigneshwara, Saraswathi, Lakshmi, Vishu, Shakthi, Shiva and Muruga - Ordered in my own perception).
9.  Stories/Literature/Myth speak about crossing 7 seas and 7 mountains as the toughest task.
10. There are 7 layers in OSI model (Networking!)

2. There are 7 Significant Sages in Greece
3. There are 7 Phases of Moon
4. There is 7-up - soft drink!

1. From Indian Epic Mahabaratha: Bishma (Devavratta) born as the 8th child, after the death of 7 children before him.
2. Hinduism: Krishna born as the 8th child, after the death of 7 children before him.
